Our aim is to raise money to provide paliative care for cancer sufferers in their own home

We want to help local residents regardless of age or nationality, who live in the San Roque area. There is a great need here for help and support for cancer sufferers.

Run by a dedicated committee of volunteers headed by Rachel Meadows (née Della Porta) as chairperson. Rachel started up ADEC after realising the need for paliative care in this part of Andalucia when her parents, both long-term residents of Torreguadiaro both developed cancer within a few years of each other. These difficult times brought home to her the fact that many local residents, both young and old, Spanish and other nationalities, faced problems both in trying to care for family members, and also having to travel for treatment that could be given at home, if the facilities existed.

We are desperately in need of funds to get the charity up and running and able to benefit those in need. Please help in whatever way you can.
